Dedicated sections at the Festival
The Festival runs dedicated women's categories alongside the main Open section, giving women players a route to titles, norms and prizes specifically structured for the women's game, while remaining fully eligible to enter the Open section as well.
Training pathways
Our training department runs sessions aimed at growing the pipeline of girls moving from junior programmes into competitive play, recognising that participation tends to drop off in the teenage years without a deliberate effort to keep a peer group together.
Visible role models
Woman International Masters and Woman Grandmasters who compete in the Festival are regularly invited to run coaching clinics and simultaneous exhibitions during festival week, giving younger players direct contact with strong role models in the women's game.
What's next
The club continues to expand women's club-night participation and is working with the UAE Chess Federation on pathways for promising junior players to represent the country at regional and international women's events.
